Messianic Jewish Music
The worship team, known as Shiloh, at Tikvat Israel Messianic Congregation in Richmond Virginia, is dedicated to leading those assembled into a profound experience of worship. The group is very talented, and the songs presented here are all written by several of the members. All of the selections are from live worship services, and therefore, have a spontaneity you don't find in most recordings.
The Psalmist declares, "The Lord inhabits the praises of His people." Worship is to honor and experience God. Tikvat Israel offers a wide variety of worship experiences. Our Shabbat services combine the traditional liturgy of the synagogue service with modern Messianic Jewish melodies. We utilize a collection of prayer leaders who cant the traditional prayers with vibrant groups of modern worship teams. The service progresses like a child on a swing, beginning slowly with traditional prayer to upbeat, hand-clapping Israeli style music to once again a slower, worshipful style of modern Messianic Jewish contemplative music.
